The Stiwt Theatre in Rhosllannerchrugog, Wrexham, North Wales, seeks a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our experienced Manager and gain valuable hands-on experience in all theatre and community centre management aspects.

As the Assistant Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to shadow our Manager and learn firsthand how he oversees and manages the entire event lifecycle, from conception to completion.

Through this immersive experience, you will gain comprehensive knowledge and skills that will enable you to independently source, organise, and successfully execute events in the future.

Responsibilities:
* Shadow the Manager to learn and understand the day-to-day operations of a theatre and community centre manager.
* Assist with event planning, coordination, and execution under the guidance of the Manager.
* Support the Manager in overseeing events' technical, logistical, and administrative aspects, including stage production, ticketing, marketing, and customer service.
* Collaborate with the manager to undertake an active role in the use of the box office, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless event delivery.
* Engage with the local community and build relationships with artists, performers, and stakeholders to enhance community engagement initiatives.
* Contribute to developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives to further the theatre's growth and success.
* Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to continually enhance the theatre's offerings.

Requirements:
* A genuine passion for the arts and community engagement.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
* Proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively.
* A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per event schedules.
* Previous experience in theatre management, event planning, or related fields (preferred but not essential).
* Familiarity with the local arts and cultural landscape is a plus.
* Some basic maintenance knowledge & D.I.Y. skills would be an asset.
* Knowledge of the Welsh language would be advantageous.

Hours and wages for this position will be discussed individually with the suitable candidate.
