The Olympians/An Epic Muse-ical - Theatr yr Ifanc - 28th to 30th June

"Theatr Yr Ifanc, Rhos 1990 Youth Theatre, are back with their 2024 Summer show. After the success of their production of “We Will Rock You Young@Part” they return with a brand-new musical THE OLYMPIANS.

Set in Ancient Greece, the story begins with three (very) frustrated Goddesses who wish to inspire and bring equal rights to the next generation of young women. Their problem? They need a female hero to help them succeed in their goal. They take it upon themselves to each choose a champion from the “mortal” world and set them on an epic quest – a quest that requires physical skill, intellect and their kindness of heart. However, nothing is ever as it seems and when a male God hears of their plan, their interference throws things completely off course. One of these young women will become the champion and a new hero for the next generation – or will they?

Set to the soundtrack of songs by Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Katrina and the Waves, Hall and Oates and Blondie, THE OLYMPIANS is a musical to inspire the generations and have you singing the songs long after the final curtain.

THE OLYMPIANS will be running from the 28th of June 2024 – 30th June 2024 with evening shows at 7pm and Matinees at 2pm.

Established in 1990 Theatr yr Ifanc is a youth theatre for young people aged 7 – 18, based at the Stiwt, Rhos. They meet every Thursday evening and currently have upwards of 70 members of all ages performing in this show. They also welcome expressions of interest for new members for 2025.
