Friends of the Stiwt

The Stiwt Friends

The Stiwt Friends is a group of volunteers that provides a range of services and support to the Stiwt theatre. Here is how the Friends have supported the Stiwt in the past and continue to do so today.

Fundraising: The Friends organise fundraising events and campaigns to generate financial support for the theatre. They run a monthly lottery that gives participants a better chance of winning than the National Lottery.

Volunteer support: The Friends membership local to the theatre often volunteer for tasks such as stewarding, ushering, providing a front-of-house welcome, manning the coffee bar, and helping with maintenance such as painting and minor repairs. Others living further away assist with promoting and advertising events on social media.

Marketing and public relations: the Friends help to raise awareness of the theatre and its events and assist in promoting the theatre's shows, increasing attendance and community engagement by distributing posters and event leaflets.

Program support: The Friends recently supported the Powys Eisteddfod by assisting with ticket sales, stage management and advertising.

Networking: The Friends help connect the theatre with other organisations and individuals who can provide resources, funding, or other forms of support.
